Terms and Conditions
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Animo Tech Private Limited ("Animo", "we", "us") and govern your use of the Animo mobile app on iOS and Android and the website getanimo.io (together, the "Service"). By downloading or using Animo you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Animo. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
3. Your licence to use Animo
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, in line with these terms and with the rules of the app store you downloaded it from.
4. Purchases
- Parts of Animo are free. Premium content is unlocked with a single one-time purchase that applies to all current premium packs and, as long as the Service operates, premium packs we release later.
- Payment is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their terms. Refunds are handled by the store you purchased through, under that store's refund policy.
- Your unlock is tied to your store account, and to your Animo account where you use one. It is for your personal use and cannot be resold or transferred.
5. Your content
- Clips recorded by the game are created and stored on your device. They belong to you. We claim no ownership of them and, because they never reach our servers, we could not use them if we wanted to.
- You are responsible for what your clips capture and where you share them, including the consent of other people who appear in them.
- Where you share a clip to a third-party platform such as Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, that platform's terms apply to the shared copy.
6. Fair use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, copy, resell or redistribute the app or its content, except where the law expressly permits;
- use the Service to break any law or infringe anyone's rights;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, our servers or other users;
- use bots, scrapers or automated methods to access the Service.
7. Our content
The app, its games, artwork, word packs, characters, the Animo name and the Animo logo are owned by Animo Tech Private Limited or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the licence in section 3 and your ownership of your clips, no rights are transferred to you.
8. Changes to the Service
Animo is an evolving product. We aim to release new content regularly, but we do not promise any particular pack, feature or release schedule, and we may add, change or retire content and features over time. We may update these terms as the Service evolves; for meaningful changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Termination
You can stop using Animo at any time by deleting the app and, if you have one, your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 5, 7, 10 and 11) survive.
10. Disclaimers
Animo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that speech recognition will always understand you. It is a game; it will sometimes hear "gnocchi" as something else entirely.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Animo Tech Private Limited will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, subject to any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
13. App store terms
Your download is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement or Google Play's Terms of Service, as applicable. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no responsibility for the app or its content.
